* The top player can maintain a very high level of play even during the worst downswings. He knows that his edge will come over the long term.

* The outstanding player spends hours a day on forums analyzing hands and discussing lines of play with his peers. He loves the theory aspect of the game.

* An incredible amount of discipline and self management that prevents them from deviating from their A game.
