If your relationship is ending or has already come to an end, that helpless feeling can make you feel is your world spinning out of control. There are things you can do to get back the lost love, because hopefully this might not be a permanent condition. Relationship problems do have a way of working out if you are willing to work on them.

If you feel that your love is failing, examine the reason why this is happening. You can try to get together with your partner and honestly discuss the state of your relationship and whether it is worth saving. If there were trust violations involved (cheating or lying) or abuse, then these issues need to be addressed as they are serious problems that may not be resolved.

Stop trying to hurt each other with things you don't mean to say, as verbal abuse and petty arguing never gets anyone anywhere in a disagreement. It can only build upon the distance between the two of you by adding resentment and hostility. Remember that arguing is rarely about who is right or wrong, it means being listened to and valued by your partner.

Learn what the other is really saying, or both of you begin learning the same language. Try learning to be on the same page more than you have been. All relationship experts agree that men or women will generally leave each other or be unfaithful because they don't feel appreciated by their partner.

Shower your partner with love and sincere interest. Small gifts or surprises, like flowers or a candlelight dinner can go a long way. Start paying more attention to what your partner is really trying to say. When you do, you will enjoy surprising your partner with loving gifts and much needed attention.

If you are a man, learn to be more assertive if you are not already. Women might not say this, but they like the "take charge" kind of guys. It's one of those genetic things that females seem to get excited about. It's time to get real.

Let your partner know how you feel and that you want to work things out. Set up some steps together that you can both take to get things going in the right direction. Reviving a relationship takes time to heal, so you both should be aware of this.

Keep in mind relationships never stay the same anyway. When you both take the time and are willing to do the hard work it takes, your relationship may end up better than it was before. Compromise the disagreements together and stay focused on your love and why you want to stay together because ultimately, you can get back lost love.
